Your first treatment will include a complete health review taking no more than about 15 minutes.
We will complete a simple questionnaire that covers your lifestyle and any relevant health issues. By reviewing your health and identifying any current areas of concern I will be able to tailor your treatment to your exact needs.
Once this has been done it’s time to lie back and enjoy your treatment.
during treatment
I will make a general assessment of your feet, noting temperature, colouration and areas of dryness and factor this into your treatment plan.
I will start the session by cleaning your feet (there’s no need to do this yourself) and then I will use gentle relaxation foot techniques to ensure your feet are ready for your treatment.
I will begin with your right foot, treating all of your organs and systems and paying particular attention to those highlighted in your treatment plan. Plus I will note any areas that are particularly sensitive.
Mainly using my thumbs I will precisely massage and apply pressure to areas that require stimulation or relaxation.
The treatment should never hurt and pressure can be increased or decreased according to your needs. In fact, most people describe the sensation as very pleasurable due to vastly improved circulation makes them feel like they’re ‘walking on air’.
after treatment
Once the treatment is completed you will be given a hand chart with some recommendations of areas to work on in between sessions and some suggestions for prolonging the effects of the treatment.
You should drink lots of water and stay as relaxed as possible.
length of treatments
Treatments last from between 45mins and 1 hour. At your first session we will complete a health review which will take around 15 mins so it may be longer than usual. If you plan for 1hr and 15mins that should be sufficient time.
cost of treatments
I charge £40 per treatment. This is regardless of whether it is your first or ongoing session.
where I practice
You can have your reflexology treatments at your own home, or either my clinic in Seven Dials, Hove or Kemp Town. For reflexology at your home all you need is a quiet room where you won’t be disturbed and I bring the treatment table or reclining chair and towels to you.
