Case Profile:
Fiona is a 48-year-old single lady who has recently been through some big life changes. Not only has she moved from her home, which she is property developing but her long-term relationship has just ended. As a result Fiona is suffering emotionally. She also has an extensive medical history, which is evidenced in my observation of her feet via hot or hard skin. She takes care of her diet but smokes and drinks heavily.
Treatment Plan:
Fiona requires balance, relaxation and emotional support through reflexology. I have advised that weekly sessions across a month will provide the best support for her. My treatment will be gentle to avoid over stimulation and in recognition of her medical history. The main areas for my focus will be: endocrine, solar plexus and circulatory reflexes.
Treatment 1:
Fiona’s main reason for her seeking treatment is to improve her relaxation. Due to her medical history I will ensure my treatment is gentle to avoid any adverse affects including a healing crisis. Fiona’s pelvic reflex area was very tender as well as her breast reflex area and urinary system reflex, I ensured she gad a lengthy warm up and supported the areas of sensitivity. I advised Fiona to try and cut back on alcohol and increase her water intake. She found her first treatment extremely relaxing.
Treatment 2:
Fiona is feeling slightly less stressed than her last visit. She had a great night sleep after her last treatment. She continued to feel the pressure of the treatment that night and the following morning. Jo is still experiencing tenderness in her kidney and adrenal reflexes as well as in her pelvic area – particularly on her right foot. The area around her head reflex has hard and dry skin and her parathyroid and eye reflexes are also tender. I gave Fiona a gentle treatment again ensuring the tender areas received my focussed intentions. My after care advice was the same as last time.
Treatment 3:
Fiona has taken my advice and has reduced both here alcohol and cigarettes intake, which is absolutely brilliant and very encouraging. She feels slightly less stressed and believes the reflexology has helped her to relax. Fiona’s kidney and adrenals reflexes are still very tender. Her digestive system reflex area seems more sluggish than normal, as it’s very pale and soft. Her right shoulder reflex is crunchy. Again my treatment is gentle to assist with relaxation focus on urinary shoulders necks and eyes and endocrine reflexes.
Treatment 4:
Fiona has had very little sleep too much alcohol and very little food last night. Despite this she feels her overall stress levels have improved, my final treatment was again gentle. I advised Fiona to ensure she drinks plenty of fluids after the treatment. My focus remained on her urinary, circulatory, endocrine and shoulder reflexes.
Summary:
Fiona has been through a massive life change during the course of her treatments. She’s really benefited from the relaxation of her sessions. Despite my gentle approach Fiona has continued to feel my touch after all her sessions and feels this added to her sense of well-being. Fiona has now stopped smoking and I’m incredibly please for her – what a great change!
