Case Profile:
Sally is a 35-year-old mother of 2. She has an extremely busy life combining motherhood and a highly stressful career as a journalist. Earlier in the year she had a breakdown and has rebalanced her life. She is seeing a number of other practitioners and has sought reflexology to complement these therapies and enhance her relaxation.
Sally’s diet is excellent as is her water intake and exercise routine. From my initial observation she suffers from poor circulation, combination skin, pmt and back problems. At the moment she is suffering from depression partly brought on by a urinary infection, which has been diagnosed as non-specific.
Treatment Plan:
Weekly sessions have been agreed in order that Sally can achieve the greatest benefit possible from her treatments. I will be treating Sally for depression and also to assist her with relaxation & kidney imbalance. My main focus will be on her endocrine, urinary and digestive systems. I will also ensure that the treatments are gentle to avoid a healing crisis.
Treatment 1:
The key areas of focus were her urinary and endocrine systems. Additionally I treated her head, back and circulatory reflexes. Her feet seemed tired. I gave her a light treatments I didn’t want her to have any adverse effects. She was quite hyper after the treatment and I’m concerned she will fall low.
I advised her to drink plenty of water to flush out toxins and focus on remaining relaxed. Weekly sessions are planned.
Treatment 2:
Sally said that she felt greater after her last treatment and her feet felt very light and relaxed. Other feedback suggested she suffered from a low the day after her treatment and felt very emotional. I assured her that this was fairly normal as long as it did not last longer than 48 hours.
Her endocrine system was very tender this week so I ensured she had a light treatment. My advice again was to relax and flush out toxins with water.
Treatment 3:
Sally appeared to be calmer today. Again she experienced a high but found it easier to deal with than her previous lows. Her shoulder reflex areas were crunchy and her digestive area was tender from the ileo-caecal valve, transverse and sigmoid colon reflexes. I kept her treatment light.
Treatment 4:
Sally has been extremely busy over the last week and as a consequence her excellent nutrition has ‘slipped’. This appears to have had a knock on effect on her stress levels. Her feet didn’t present as much tenderness as previous weeks. I believe this could be her ‘blocking’ in an attempt to be back on track.
Summary:
Overall Sally has thoroughly enjoyed her treatments. She believes she has really benefited from the additional relaxation she’s achieved.
